• Mixed-metal welding.

Heat treatment – Annealing – for reducing material grain size thereby achieving improved elongation rate, lower risk of fine strut breakage, improved fatigue resistance, and improved surface quality. STI has optimized the annealing process for various metals, including Stainless Steel (316LVM) and Titanium.

Surface treatment – Passivation and Electropolish – for the creation of an entirely new surface, smooth with improved biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, as well as for superior mechanical stent properties. STI offers electropolishing of various metals, including Nitinol (NiTi) and Cobalt Chromium (L605).

Visual inspection – microscopic examination and implementation of High Precision Measurements procedure using advanced Smart Scope.

The ISO 7 - Class 10,000 Clean Room facility with its two laminar cells ISO 5 – Class 100 offers the clean room environment required for medical products assembly services. Thus, STI may offer its customers a one-stop-shop, containing a wide range of services and capabilities.

Applications:
Medical device assembly
Clear environment micro-welding
Packaging
Product assembly

STI’s Clean Room facility complies with ISO 14644, enabling 60 total air volume exchanges per hour. The facility is designed to maintain high internal pressure that prevents penetration of contaminants and ensures fast and effective removal of particles generated by people or process equipment. This high standard facility allows assembly, packaging and welding activities for medical devices that require clean environment.

STI’s Clean Room has been qualified by KEMA to perform “contract manufacturing and assembly of medical devices, including implants and surgical tools.”

In addition to contract manufacturing, STI is your ideal R&D partner, providing the engineering and technological support related to the design and manufacturability of newly developed products.

STI excels in quick turnaround response, recognizing time-to-market to be invaluable to your success!

STI experts’ ability to think out of the box leads to unconventional solutions, cost-effective and of superior quality.
